 Katz Acting Joint

 

Actor Jerry Katz, personally accredited by Ivana to teach THE IVANA CHUBBUCK TECHNIQUE, teaches group classes in New Orleans on Tuesday evenings, and in Baton Rouge on and Thursday evenings.
He teaches all levels of actors from beginners to advanced.
He also prepares actors for auditions through private session...and works with actors on sets during filming...
He also runs weekend seminars.
The focus of the work is to raise your game through the 12 tools of the Chubbuck technique as well as teaching the actor to own his unique power as an actor...and in that process teaches the actor how to WIN...as a dynamic character in pursuit of his/her objective in the script...and also in the actor's pursuit of his/her objective in their careers!

 

ACTORS ALLIANCE

In 2000 professional actress and acting coach Veleka Gray founded her school, the Actors Alliance. Since then, Louisiana actors who are serious about training can work with a teacher with the credits and credentials to give them quality coaching rarely found outside of New York or Hollywood. Using a technique Veleka developed in her years on Broadway, in film, and on television, actors work on camera to practice the skills they must acquire to be cast in features and other projects coming to our state.

In addition to her film and stage work, Veleka starred in nine different contract roles in six soap operas, including "The Young & The Restless" and "As the World Turns." She studied with top teachers, among them Bobby Lewis, founder of The Actors Studio. She also served fifteen years as a judge for the National Emmy Awards and is a member of the Academy.
